Have we ever thought how important phones have become in our lives? It is one simple call that can make or break a relationship, do some good or bad to you, declare failure or success, blurt out some very good and some very bad news and many more.

The phone has become such an inseperable part of our life. A day without the cell phone seems so very IMPOSSIBLE!

Some unforgettable calls that I received over the years (in no particular order) -

• My marriage date was fixed over a phone! Well, it was atleast consented by both of us (my better half (B) and myself) over the phone!
• My sister's Intermediate results were out on her cell phone.
• Long chats and talks over the phone when B and I were away which really got us together, after a 3-day stint ( he came, he saw, he married)!
• Inteview call from the HR of the company for which I am currently working.
• B calling me up to set up a plan for the evening - dinner, followed by a movie (the second part after the dinner - totally unexpected)!
• Call from my boss asking me to come to office over the weekend!
• Call from my boss telling me that one of our team members is in the ICU.
• Call from B letting me know that he might have to go to the US for a short stint.
• Recipe exchange over the phone between my mom and me; between my MIL and me.
• Calls which are not intended for you - wrong numbers (really irritating)!
• Home Loan calls - pestering you to take one!
• Credit Card calls - Offering to give you one!
• Invitation for a party/marriage/get-together!
• Call from my dad saying one of cousins is no more.
• Call from my mom saying one of dad's sisters is no more.
• Call from my aunt saying the marriage of her son has been fixed after an eternal wait!

Well I cant think of any more for now.
