Tooth Extraction

Nothing can be so painful than a tooth getting extracted- a part of you ever since you remember! Yes???
NOOOO!
It is not that bad after all.
Listen to my story -

The D -day of my pre-molar tooth had come. It had to be removed.
The dentist made me sit on the throne (the dental chair). Gave me a local anesthesia - a shot one on the gums above the premolar and one shot under it. The second one was a little painful. Though the pain was not felt at all after a couple of seconds. One side of my eye started feeling a little numb once the affect of the shot was taking over.
I relaxed on the throne for the next 10 minutes or so as the dentist got busy talking to my husband. He came, he saw and pulled. It was all over even before I realized.
My tooth was out. He put a huge cotton in my mouth.
I walked back home. Took out the cotton, had a cup of ice-cream, drank some cold water and I was all set for the day. Had curd rice for dinner and slept early.
The next day, I brushed very carefully. Had a cup of milk. Had a light and soft breakfast. And that was it.

Simple, isnt it? To top it all I have another extraction coming up sometime soon!

Powerful Women in My Life

The two most powerful women in my life got to be my Mother and my Mother-in-law. I am totally awe of both of them. The way they have influenced my life is something which I cannot just overlook.

Mother

  • A home-maker for the last 26 years.
  • Comes from a very simple and humble family of 7 (her mom, dad and 5 siblings!).
  • Sacrificed her aspirations so the younger ones get to climb the ladder
  • She gave up her studies and started working as an accoutant to help the family.
  • Started supporting her family when she was 16.
  • Got married when she was 23, when in those days girls were born just to be married at 16 something.
  • Gave up her job when she tied the knot.

Mom is and has always been our strength.

Blessed are we to have a mother like her. A woman who means so much to me. A woman so dear to me. A woman who is everthing to me.

Mother-in-law
  • A working woman for the last 15 years.
  • Comes from a very simple and educated family of doctors, teachers, engineers.
  • Sacrificed her dreams so her kids get the best in life.
  • She gave up her studies and got married when she was all of 18.
  • Was left alone when she was all of 28 with two school going boys.
  • Finished her post graduate degree and took up a job to raise her kids.

Blessed am I to have a mummy like her. A woman who means a lot to me. A woman who is such an inspiration to me. A woman who gives me strength when I am low.

Love you both for being a part of my life!
